A Little About Me...
Hi there! Thanks for visiting my site! I'm Stephen, a photographer from Raleigh, originally from Greensboro / High Point. I'm lucky to do what I love every day. I used to work in the corporate world, but I found my passion in photography. Now, I capture stories—from brides preparing for their weddings to new business owners starting their ventures. The world is my canvas, and everyone has a unique tale to share!
My Personal Life
When I'm not taking photos, I'm usually editing alongside my pet umbrella cockatoo, Fergie. I live near downtown Raleigh with my partner, and we love exploring the city's diverse food scene. I'm into hitting the gym, attending concerts, dancing, and enjoy sipping on red wine. Lately, I've developed a fondness for fine cheeses, and Trader Joe's is my go-to for selections!
I graduated from ASU (Go Mountaineers!) and my photography journey started early on—I'd use my birthday money to develop film rolls since I
was young. I've always loved capturing life's moments, even convincing neighbors or anyone around to be my test subjects. Photography began as a hobby in high school and continued as a college elective.
After college, I worked in a bank while pursuing photography at a studio for fun. When a friend asked me to shoot their wedding solo, I discovered the immense joy photography brings me. That's when I decided to turn my passion into my own business.
My Professional Life
I've had the privilege of capturing the beauty of over 100 weddings, from sunny days to rainy romances. I'm always ready to travel for your special day, wherever it may be!
When I'm not taking photos, I'm attending workshops and editing at my computer. I also work full-time as a realtor with DuBois Property Group. I believe in continuous learning to bring fresh ideas to every shoot.
My work has been featured in several great publications like Style Me Pretty, Artfully Wed, and others—it's been an amazing journey!
